A Full-Circle Moment: A Storytelling Branding Session with Diane Lenihan

One of the most special parts of my work as a branding photographer in Ottawa is getting to reconnect with people from different chapters of my life. My recent shoot with Diane Lenihan was one of those full-circle moments I’ll never forget.

Diane was my very first boss. Back when I was a teenager, I worked as a sales associate at her beautiful European-style candy shop in Westboro, ‘The Candy Store’. It was the best first job I could’ve asked for—sweet (literally!), creative, and full of charm. I got to help decorate the windows and displays, and even got a little glimpse into the wedding industry by helping set up candy buffets. Looking back, I think that experience quietly planted a few seeds for where I am now.

Fast forward over a decade, and Diane has stepped into a new chapter as an independent consultant for Arbonne, a yoga instructor, and a lifestyle content creator. She reached out for a personal branding session to reflect her new journey—and it was such a joy to capture her in this exciting phase of life.

We shot at Quay Studio in Ottawa, a naturally lit, neutral-toned creative space that brought Diane’s vision to life. Her branding photos are earthy, soft, and grounded—just like her. We focused on relaxed lifestyle portraits, wellness content, and images that reflect both her personality and her brand.
